Reactive glaze moves in the kiln, so no two plates come out exactly the same; each piece has its own shading and rim. The white salad plates break up the blue on the table, so the set looks layered rather than flat when it is laid out.

What is in the box

4 dinner plates, blue reactive glaze

4 salad plates, white

4 pasta bowls, blue reactive glaze

4 small bowls, blue reactive glaze

Details

Stoneware, fired for everyday use, heavier and tougher than standard ceramic

Reactive glaze finish, deep blue with brown edges; shading varies piece to piece

Service for 4; buy two sets for a table of 8

Wide pasta bowls take pilau, stew, pasta, salads and soup

Small bowls for kachumbari, dessert, cereal and sauces

Microwave and dishwasher safe; avoid sudden temperature changes

Good for

Everyday family dining with a set that still looks right for guests

Christmas and festive hosting, where the blue and brown sits well with gold or wooden table decor

Airbnb and guesthouse kitchens that want a matched, hard wearing set

Wedding, housewarming and Christmas gifts

Pair it with the Homezaza black reactive glaze set for a two tone table, or see all dinner sets, ceramic dinner sets and Christmas table decor.

Delivery and payment

Delivery across Nairobi with pay on delivery, courier delivery countrywide packed for ceramics, pay before dispatch upcountry.
