A full-size ironing board is mostly a storage problem. It leans behind a door, falls over, and takes up a corner of a flat that has no corner to spare. Pocket folds in half, swallows the iron inside itself, and hangs on the wall.

It sits on a table or worktop and gives you a 90 x 33cm ironing surface — the same length most people actually use on a full board — on adjustable non-slip feet that raise it 11cm clear of the surface. Closed, it is 45.5 x 34 x 15.5cm with the iron stored in its own compartment, and a wall bracket with screws and plugs is supplied so the whole thing hangs out of the way. The cover is 100% cotton over a padded felt underlay and changes easily. For a Nairobi apartment where the ironing happens on the dining table anyway, this replaces the board you never had room for.
