The ribbed version of our heat resistant glass teapot, in a warm amber gold tint with vertical ribs that catch the light. It takes boiling tea straight from the sufuria without cracking, and the tint deepens the colour of chai, hibiscus and rooibos so the pot looks as good on the table as the tea tastes.

Two sizes. The 1 litre pours four to five cups and suits a couple or a small office. The 1.8 litre pours eight to nine cups for the family table, guests or a chai round at work. Both have a glass handle that stays cool, a natural bamboo lid that stays put when you pour, and a glass coil filter inside the spout that holds back tea leaves, lemon slices and ginger so only the liquid comes out.

What you can use it for: serving milky chai at breakfast; brewing loose leaf, green or hibiscus tea and watching the colour develop through the ribs; steeping ginger, lemon and honey with the filter catching the pieces; serving cold juice or infused water, since the glass handles both hot and cold; and dressing a guest table, an Airbnb kitchen or a gift box, where the ribbed amber glass does more than a plain pot.
