The Redberry electric pressure cooker turns a two hour pot of beans or goat into a 30 minute job, and it does it without anyone standing over the stove. Set the programme, lock the lid, and it builds pressure, cooks, and switches to keep warm on its own. Because it is sealed, it uses a fraction of the gas or power of an open sufuria and the kitchen does not fill with steam.

The inner pot is non stick aluminium that lifts out for washing, the lid locks and will not open while there is pressure inside, and overheat protection cuts the power if the pot runs dry. Each one comes with a steamer rack, a measuring cup and two spoons.

Which size: 6 litres (1000W, touch control panel) for a family of three to five and everyday githeri, stew and rice; 8 litres (1200W, push button panel) for larger families and cooking for the week; 10 litres (1600W, push button panel) for big households, chama meetings, small hotels and catering.
