A fillable square base takes 100 litres of water or sand, so there is no concrete and no drilling; fill it where the umbrella will stand.

Set up and care

• Assemble the base, fill with water or sand, slot in the post and attach the canopy frame; two people, about 30 minutes
• Close the canopy in strong wind and overnight, and use the cover when it is not in use
