The element is PTC ceramic, not an exposed coil or quartz tube. PTC elements self-regulate — they draw less power as they reach temperature instead of running flat out — and they never glow red, so there is no bar of hot metal in a room where children or pets move around, and no smell of dust burning off.

60° oscillation is the difference between a heater and a hot spot. Instead of roasting whoever is directly in front of it while the far corner stays cold, it sweeps the warm air across the room.

Set the temperature you want between 10°C and 48°C on the LED display, pick Low, High or ECO, and set the timer. The remote means you do it from the bed or the couch rather than crossing a cold floor.

Running it sensibly

A 2000W heater on High is a real load on your bill — that is true of every heater at this power, not just this one. Use the thermostat rather than leaving it on High, run ECO once the room is warm, and use the 24-hour timer so it is not heating an empty room. Heating one room you are actually in, with the door closed, costs far less than trying to warm the whole house.

Safety

Keep at least a metre clear of curtains, bedding and furniture. Plug directly into a wall socket, not an extension cable or multi-plug — 2000W is more than most extension leads are rated to carry continuously. Do not cover it, and do not run it in a bathroom.
