Joseph Joseph Extend Expandable Dish Rack – Sky Blue, Extends from 32cm to 52.7cm

A dish rack is sized for the worst day of the week and then sits there hogging the worktop for the other six. On a normal evening you need room for four plates; the Sunday after you have had people round, you need three times that.

The Extend rack slides out when you need it and pushes back in when you do not — 32 cm wide closed, 52.7 cm wide extended, same 36.4 cm depth either way. Raised ribs stop water pooling underneath glasses and bowls, which is the usual reason things come off the rack still damp, and the draining plug and spout let you send the water into the sink instead of across the counter. The cutlery drainer moves along the rack to wherever you want it, and the steel rack lifts out so you can actually clean underneath. This is the Editions 'Sky' colourway, a limited blue that Joseph Joseph has since dropped — the current range is grey and stone green only.
