Two people on a Tuesday need a small rack. Sunday lunch for eight needs a big one. Buy for the Sunday and you lose the counter all week; buy for the Tuesday and the plates end up stacked wet on a towel every time you have people over.

Extend solves that by sliding: closed it is 32 cm deep and takes up the space of a compact rack, and pulled out to 52.7 cm it gives you nearly double the draining area for a full load. The prongs are nano-plated steel with non-scratch tips, so they hold plates firmly without leaving marks and will not soften or go brittle the way moulded plastic fingers do. Water leaves through an integrated spout aimed into the sink, the cutlery drainer slides along to wherever you want it, and non-slip feet stop the whole rack creeping on a wet worktop. The steel rack lifts out of the tray, which is the only way to properly clean under a dish rack. Note that our distributor lists this as white while the manufacturer's own retail data describes the colourway as white with green parts — we have not confirmed which finish is in the box, so please ask us before ordering if the exact colour matters.
