Flex is Joseph Joseph's answer. The head is D-shaped and flexible, with wide bristles that bend to the curve of the bowl and push up under the rim instead of skating past it. The bristles are spaced so they do not clog, and the brush is designed to be anti-drip, so it goes back to its caddy without leaving a trail. The caddy itself is slim enough to stand behind a cistern or in the narrow gap beside a toilet, which is usually all the room a Nairobi flat gives you. When it needs a deep clean, it takes bleach or hot soapy water without complaint.
