Steaming three things at once normally means three pans on three burners, which is a lot of gas for a plate of vegetables. Nest Steam gives you three pods that hook over the rim of a single pan, each one holding a different food and each one lifted out the moment it is ready.

The pods are three different sizes and three different colours, so carrots can go in one, greens in another and fish in the third and you can tell at a glance which is which - and pull out the quick-cooking one without disturbing the rest. The silicone handles and pan rests stop the pods sliding and stay comfortable to grip, and the integrated hook holds each pod clear of the water below. When you are finished they nest into one another and take up the cupboard space of a single pod. One pan, one burner, three portions - which matters when cooking gas is priced the way it is. If you are using all three pods at once, use a pan at least 18cm across and 8cm deep.
