Anyone who has tried to tip a heavy pot of pasta into a colander one-handed knows how that ends. The Scoop Plus removes the step altogether: a broad slotted head lifts the food out of the water and drains it over the pan, so nothing has to be carried to the sink and nothing gets tipped down the drain by accident.

It is one piece of toughened nylon, safe against non-stick pans where a steel spoon would leave marks, and rated to 200°C so it can sit in a hot pan without softening. The 34 cm length is deliberate – it keeps your knuckles away from the steam when you are working over a small hob. Useful well beyond pasta: boiled potatoes, sukuma wiki, githeri, or lifting mandazi out of hot oil. Green colourway, dishwasher safe.
