One thing worth being clear about before you order: despite the name, this is not a bowl colander. It is a scoop-shaped draining tool — think of a slotted serving spoon with high sides — 30 cm long, which keeps your hand well back from the heat. It earns its place beyond frying too: lifting pasta out of boiling water, serving steamed sukuma wiki without the cooking liquid coming with it, draining chips onto a plate. Heat resistant to 240°C, safe with your pans, and dishwasher safe at the end of it. This one is grey, which is the easiest colourway to live with if your kitchen already has a lot going on.
