Joseph Joseph Square Colander Small 15.9cm – Green

You do not need a huge colander to rinse a bunch of managu or drain enough pasta for two, but that is usually the only one in the house — so a two-minute job turns into washing and drying a bowl the size of a basin.

This is the small size from Joseph Joseph's original square colander generation, 15.9 cm across, in green, and listed by retailers with a side handle for lifting and tipping. The square body is the reason to buy it over a round one: it settles into the corner of a sink and stays there rather than rolling when you pour into it, and food leaves cleanly through a corner. It stores flat against the back of a cupboard instead of taking a whole shelf. Joseph Joseph replaced this generation with a redesigned single-size colander, so what is here is the last of the original small green run.
