Joseph Joseph Twist Grater – Orange, Extra Coarse and Ribbon Blades with Storage Sheath

There are two ways people grate, and most graters only allow one. Sometimes you want to hold it upright over a bowl of pasta and shave cheese straight onto the food; other times you have half a kilo of carrots to get through and you want the grater flat on the worktop where you can put your weight behind it. The Twist Grater does both because the handle locks in two positions.

Leave it straight to grate over a plate. Rotate the handle 90° and it locks into a bracing position for working across the worktop, which is far steadier when the quantity is large. The blade is etched stainless steel in extra coarse and ribbon – extra coarse for cheddar, carrot and cabbage, ribbon for wide shavings of parmesan, chocolate or courgette over a salad.

It comes with a reversible plastic sheath that does two jobs: it clips on as a blade cover for drawer storage, and turned the other way it catches what you grate so you can tip it straight into the pan. Orange colourway, and dishwasher safe.
